After a rewarding yet challenging journey with her first venture, Dignity Home Care, Minerva faced significant health issues that forced her to re-evaluate her career. Despite these challenges, her commitment to caregiving never wavered. Mini’s Home Care was born from Minerva’s lifelong commitment to the caregiving profession and her personal understanding of her client's needs, especially given her own health struggles. Our business name reflects Minerva's personal touch and philosophy of prioritizing quality care over volume, ensuring each client feels valued and well cared for.
After recovering and regaining strength, Minerva pursued and received a state license in 2019, allowing her to provide home care services once again. Today, Mini’s Home Care operates with a growing team of dedicated caregivers, each trained to meet the high standards set by Minerva herself. Our non-medical home care agency specializes in providing seniors with the care they need to maintain their independence and stay comfortable in their own homes, handling each case with the utmost respect and professionalism.

Minerva Castaneda, affectionately known as Mini, is the heart and soul behind Mini’s Home Care. Her career in caregiving began unexpectedly at the age of 18 when she filled in for her elder sister, a visiting nurse, to care for a patient. This initial experience sparked a deep and enduring passion for caregiving, leading her to work in a nursing home and ultimately to establish her own business. Over the past 40 years, Mini has dedicated herself to this field, developing a profound understanding of her clients' needs and how best to serve them.
A woman of strong faith, Mini believes in the guidance of a higher power, which has been a constant source of strength throughout both her personal challenges and professional endeavors. Her story is one of overcoming adversity through faith and perseverance, inspiring her team, and comforting her clients. Today, Mini continues to lead her team with compassion, ensuring that every client receives the highest standard of care, which is both a promise and a reflection of her life’s work.
